Junior Clinical Fellow in Obs and Gynae - Wales

ID Medical has an exciting permanent opportunity in Wales for a junior clinical fellow that specialises in obstetrics and gynaecology. This is a full-time role. Excellent clinical decision-making skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are key requirements for the position.

Duties of the Post:

  • Emergency work including initial assessment and investigation of patients who attend labour ward, the maternity out-patient assessment unit and the early pregnancy assessment unit.
  • Assistant in obstetric emergencies and in general gynaecology theatres including the day case surgery.
  • Outpatient work including antenatal, gynaecological, and postmenopausal clinics. You should also be able to attend ultrasound clinics and some clinics in other specialties such as urogynaecology, genito-urinary medicine and genetics.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and communication with other healthcare professionals.
  • Compliance with the departmental clinical guidelines & protocols available on the health board intranet and awareness of RCOG and NICE guidelines.
